This is very cute :) It reminds me of the children's book "Growing Vegetable Soup" by Lois Elhert. I used to read that book to my kid when he was young, and this game gives me the same warm fuzzy vibes.

I was looking forward to walking up to every tile of soil myself to plant the seeds, and then walk up to every tile myself to water the plants.

That these steps are automatically skipped, causes awkward time skips that make the story more difficult than necessary to follow, and nullifies the impact that the actions would’ve had if I had to do them myself.

Next time you make a game about gardening, please consider this. If somebody plays a game like this about gardening, they want to do the gardening themselves, not watch someone else do the gardening instead of them.
